posted by admin in Uncategorized

A very pertinent and ‘now’ area of integrated marketing communications (IMC) that is currently being discussed in the academic literature is the relationship between celebrities and the use of Integrated Marketing Communications. The area of celebrities and IMC can be broken down in to two subjects, firstly, the use of celebrities in a companies integrated marketing communications strategy, normally as product endorsers, and secondly the celebrities as brands in their own right, adopting IMC.

Marketing an Apartment for Sale

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Selling a property is not as easy as putting an advertisement in a leading website. There is a lot more that needs to be done if you are aiming is to sell. Advertising online or through pop up stands is surely the right thing to do, but that will only attract potential buyers. Converting a potential buyer is what brings the money. A friend of mine was recently trying to sell an apartment. I asked him how is it going and he replied is going very good, already got 4 people to come and see the apartment. A month later when I met him, he was still unable to sell the property and by now he was getting frustrated with all the people coming to have a look but not taking the next step.

Farmers Insurance Ad Campaign Nails It

posted by admin in Uncategorized

For the last two or so years now I have been paying close attention to some of the advertisement campaigns that have been running from the major insurance companies in the American marketplace. There are a few of the television campaigns that can be said to be of any worth and one of those fairly good ones is the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies ad campaign, “University of Farmers”, that began a year ago.

Most of you would agree that you see insurance as being bland and would not expect an insurance company to have nothing but bland advertisements. Well Farmers has certainly changed that world view with their clever and somewhat humorous ads that serve to present insurance as something new. Many companies no matter what they are selling be it shoes or even skip hire London will do well to take a leaf out of Farmers'ad campaign book.

Just to remind you the campaign is focused on the fictional learning institution for agents to learn about business, life, home, and auto insurance called the University of Farmers. Professor Nathaniel Burke is the instructor we see in the television ads and he is played by J.K. Simmons a well know film and television actor. Simmons portrays the part very well employing both playfulness and sarcasm to deliver the message. What you will see in the ads are those worst case scenarios that occur that demonstrate why it is necessary to have proper insurance coverage.

From the flame thrower ad to the distracted driver, to the cat burglar, to the floating weather advertisements what you see is very effective in delivering the intended message of getting appropriate insurance no matter what the situation may be.

The result is that consumers are remembering the different ads and are associating with them. This is surely a great ad campaign.

Effective Communication – An Important Part of B2B Marketing Campaign

posted by admin in Uncategorized

Business-To-Business (B2B) marketing plays a very important role in advertising campaign of any business. It is a form of advertising that directly targets decision markers and if done rightly can largely benefit your business. Since B2B marketing directly reaches highly qualified audience, most business owners tend to use very complicated marketing jargons to impress them. However, regardless of the qualification level of the audience, an effective marketing campaign is the one that uses clear, common words that everyone can understand. In fact various researches have already proved that highly complicated jargons, phrasing, difficult lingo and big words repress the actual meaning of your B2B marketing campaign.

The key to a good communication in B2B marketing is always to use the lowest denominator of language that even the least educated of your audience can understand. Whether it is about written communication in emails or in a sales brochure, it should be written in a language easy enough for all the readers to understand in a single read. If you are using acronyms it is always best to spell the word when it appears for the first time in the copy. The rule applies even for the most common B2B acronyms such as CRM, ERP, etc.

B2B writing is no different from other forms of marketing communication. A beginner should try writing in a similar fashion as he/she would speak to someone if sitting in a business meeting. For example, if you are promoting Data management tools, then advertise it as software that will help you keep your data in a well managed way instead of mentioning it as something that will help you optimize your data.

B2B communication need not be something that will make an immediate branding in the mind of the buyer, but the B2B buyer should remember your marketing message when the purchasing need of your product arises.

Thing beyond Technology and Focus on Business Goals for Success of your E-Business

posted by admin in Uncategorized

The technology in the field of Internet has advanced so fast that it has mesmerized us all. Today e-business has become such an integral part of our life that sometimes it becomes difficult to imagine that businesses used to exist even when Internet was not there. However getting success in e-business is not easy. Most people focus only on technology part of a business without focusing on the right business strategy and thus face failures. To avoid being a failure in e-business, it is important to focus business first and then the technology

One of the most important aspects important for the growth of a business is to decide the strategic goals for your business. You should plan long-term goals for your business that should rise above the mere goal of making money. How many products do want to introduce in the beginning? Will you allow free ordering for your clients? Do you want to open offices in other geographical locations as well? Having a well-drafted strategic plan that answers all these questions makes it easy to achieve success in the form of small milestones.

When you have listed all the options you have thought of in your strategic objectives, next comes the task of selecting the best options. Take input from your partners, people in your management as well as from the people who are associated with the key business process. Think beyond your own e-store and concentrate on larger picture of the entire business –to-business market. If you own a furniture shop, your product should speak about itself. People should give examples that “ I bought my furniture from here ” and should market your e-store to others too.

Next comes the task of allocating a fixed time line, resources, and budget for different business tasks. A time line is very important so that you accomplish the business goals in right time. Divide budget for infrastructure, marketing and don’t forget keeping some budget for the technical advancement of your website. Right budget is an indispensable part for success of any business.

What it Truly Takes to Run Your Own Successful Business

posted by admin in Uncategorized

When you are about to start a business the one thing that you would want to be is a self employed person. You will be deciding your own working hours and will be the boss of your own destiny. You will be the one in charge of the equipment needed to run the business such as the computers, phones, fax machine and shredder.

But starting a new venture without proper research can be quite risky. As your livelihood now depends on the success of this business, so you need to make sure that you have covered all the areas related to the new venture. Seek business advice from experts regarding what planning needs to be done. Along with this you also need to know which area under your business has the most demand for your product. If you have taken care of the small details then it will help making opening up your business a reality.

First piece of business advice would be to develop the contacts in the local business circle. Meet the local dealers and inquire about the current situation of the market. You can find these people by joining the local chamber of commerce.

At the Chamber of Commerce, you will find all the information related to the setting up and running of your business. All the details related to the initial documentation and viability of your business is available here. You will also get to know about the various options regarding the financing for your business idea. You will get to meet your local competitors with whom you can develop a profitable partnership. These services are available at a very nominal fee and you can easily avail them to take your business to the desired heights.

As the major purpose of owning your own business is to maximize the profits, you can also turn to your tax adviser, who manages your finances and the yearly tax filing, for business advice. He/She will be able to tell you ways to efficiently manage your finances as well as how to save on the taxes. If your tax adviser is not into managing the business accounts then he/she can refer you to the reliable business manager who can manage that for you.

Next person to turn towards for business advice would be your money lender or the financial institution. They will be able to give you the deals which are really beneficial for you. You must take these lending institutes into confidence as there might be some point in your business where you will need instant funds. If you have contacts then the needed funds can be easily arranged.

The last piece of advice would be to never give up easily. Generally the reason for the failure of the new businesses is that one easily jumps from business to another business. The reason for jumping can be more profits or the ease of operation. Due to this, do proper research before opening the business. Once you have opened the business then you should stick to it till you have achieved all of your goals. Then you can think of diversifying your business.
